About
Ambassadors Providing Amazing Care is a “Home Care Company” as opposed to a “Home Health Agency”. Home Care does not include what the state of California refers to as “Skilled Care” which is what a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Vocation Nurse (LVN) would provide.
Ambassadors are a diverse, highly trained group of individuals who truly love people. With extensive knowledge, and many years of On-The-Job-Training, we provide in home care or assistance with ADL’s ( Activities of Daily Living) such as: bathing, dressing, transferring, using the toilet, eating, walking, light housework, preparing meals, medication reminders, shopping for groceries or clothes, using the telephone.
A Little About the Owner
Sheila Baker began her medical interest while still in High School as a volunteer in Sunny Pines Convalescent Home. After graduation she became an Emergency Room Technician at Wuesthoff Memorial Hospital, and after two years she left the hospital to began her tenure in the US Army Medical Core.
After serving seven years in the military she left to further her education at Brevard Community College in th field of Respiratory Therapy. After graduation she went to work in several Acute Care Facilities, Trauma Centers and Respiratory Therapy Registries.
Five years later, Sheila was recruited by Lincare as a Home Respiratory Therapist in Florida where she discovered her niche. After 4 years Lincare transfered Sheila to California to Manage their Salinas center.
Through the years of hands on experience that she gained in the Home Care Industry, Sheila realized that most patients required and deserved far more, and “Voila!”, Ambassadors was born.
